The Oppo Find X9 smartphone has already appeared in an unboxing video a whole week ahead of its official unveiling.
Oppo will announce its new flagship phone series on 16 October, but we already have a good idea of what it will look like.
Tech write Noah Cat has taken to X to post a brief video of the Oppo Find X9 being removed from its box.
Indeed, you could say that it’s already received its first drop test as well, given the way in which the phone is taken from its box. It’s an interesting approach.
Oppo Find X9 design
The Oppo Find X9 itself looks quite different from last year’s Oppo Find X8. The basic shape (let’s call it iPhoone-esque) is fairly familiar, but the large, centred and circular camera module of the X8 has made way for a smaller, squarer, off-centre alternative.
It looks a bit like the camera module we’re expecting to see on the OnePlus 15, which isn’t a great surprise given the shared DNA of the two companies.
The unboxed also points to the nifty animated wallpaper of the ColorOS 16 UI that runs on the phone.
We also get a look at the colour-matched silicon case that seemingly comes with the phone – a nice inclusion.

Oppo Find X9 specs
Last month Oppo offered a sneak peak at the front of the Find X9, with its super-slim bezels. It also confirmed that there’d be a 7,025mAh battery in the Oppo Find X9 and an even bigger 7,500mAh cell in the Pro.
We’ve also heard it claimed that both phones will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor rather than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Given my experience with the the impressive MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11, I have no worries about the Find X9 in the performance department.
There could be a triple 50MP camera in the Find X9 and a meaty quad set-up – including a 200MP sensor – in the Pro.
Basically, the Pixel 10 and Google Pixel 10 Pro should be a little concerned at what Oppo is cooking up here – especially given the hugely competitive pricing of previous Find X phones.
