Two of Samsung’s old smartwatches, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic, are now receiving the free One UI 8 Watch update.
X tipster Alfatürk has drawn attention to the fact that Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic series users in South Korea are now receiving the the stable version of One UI 8 Watch, based on Google’s Wear OS 6.
It’s likely to start rolling out to global editions shortly.
Samsung One UI 8 Watch features
Samsung’s latest smartwatch UI debuted on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic quite recently.
As we noted in our review of that wearable, it supplies new interface elements like the ability to view similar Tiles on a single screen as a stream, meaning that you can view all of the health-focused features in one place.
Samsung has also brought its smart Now bar over from phones like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, so you can hop back into apps running in the background a lot quicker.

Gemini has now taken the place of Google Assistant, too, which makes for a much more natural interactions. It can handle more advanced queries.
You can also expect improved health tracking features, including Bedtime Guidance, which offers personalised advice on how to achieve a better night’s rest.
It’s a big update to both usability and functionality, essentially, and every Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 user should be itching to download it.
To do so, open up the Wearable app, head into the settings menu, select Watch software update, and tap Download and install.
