Huawei has revealed that it is to announce three new products at a special event next week, including a new phone, tablet and wearables.
The Chinese tech giant has released a 48-second teaser video heralding an “Innovative Product Launch” with the theme of “Now Is Your Spark”.
It might be brief, but the teaser shows us precisely what’s going to be on offer at the Bangkok-based 7 May event.
First up, we see a new smartwatch with a cutesy panda wallpaper. We know already that this manifests as the Huawei Watch Fit 5 and its Watch Fit 5 Pro brother, which were announced last week in China.
The teaser video also showcases a possible secondary device type, when said cute panda emerges from the watch and starts snapping selfies with a non-generic smartphone.
It looks a lot like the Huawei Enjoy 90 Pro Max that was announced in China last month, but it’s been predicted that this will be rebadged as the Huawei Nova 15 Max for other markets.

New Huawei MatePad
Finally, we get a look at the panda sketching away on a full-sized tablet – a strong indicator that a new MatePad tablet is going to be on show.
This is purported to be the Huawei MatePad Pro Max, and judging from the video, it’s going to have a big screen, skinny bezels, a slightly rounded edge, and deep stylus support to rival the likes of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, Honor MagicPad 4 and OnePlus Pad 4.
Huawei has had a tough time in the West in recent years, owing to stringent Western sanctions making it impossible for the company to run full Android or to make use of the latest chip technology.
Its external hardware, however, has continued to be among the best in the business, with elements like its tablet PaperMatte display offering something a little different.
Devices like the Huawei Watch Fit 4, meanwhile, have continued to offer some of the best smartwatch hardware around, especially given their aggressively low pricing.
