Samsung is reportedly looking to add another mid-priced tablet to the market in the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, but it’s not likely to be a top performer.
We’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE recently, which occupies the company’s 2025 mid-range tablet slot. However, Android Authority claims that the company is now working on an even cheaper tablet in the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite.
Sources claim that the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite has been mentioned in some form of official code. While the specific nature of this code is left frustratingly vague, the source has proven accurate on similar claims in the past.
What we know about the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite
It seems the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite will come in both Wi-Fi and cellular varieties, as is Samsung’s style.
We also learn here that the tablet will run on the Samsung Exynos 1380 5G processor, which drives home the idea that this is a lesser tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE.
The Exynos 1380 powered the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE (pictured below) back in 2023, while the Galaxy Tab S10 FE runs on the more modern Exynos 1580.
Is there space for another Samsung tablet?
Your initial response to this news may be similar to ours: is there really space for yet another tablet in Samsung’s range? Based on pricing, it seems there may be.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite looks set to slot into Samsung’s tablet range between the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ and the aforementioned Galaxy Tab S10 FE.
The former carried a launch price of £239, while the latter starts from £499. Even if the (possibly imminent) Samsung Galaxy Tab A10+ bumps the price up closer to £299, that would still leave a £200 gap between Samsung’s cheap and mid-range tablet options.
We wouldn’t be surprised if the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite sweeps in with the £399 price tag.
