Galaxy A37: In summary
- The A37 will be Samsung’s next entry-level mid-range phone
- It could use the same processor as the Samsung Galaxy A55
- A release date of March 2026 is highly likely
The mid-range sector is one of the most hotly contested parts of the smartphone market for the sheer amount of choice available and the number of companies vying for your attention shouting “roll up for great value phones”.
The Samsung Galaxy A36 stumbled upon release, but there’s every chance that its successor could put the company’s cheaper mid-range handset back in good graces. Here’s everything we know about the Samsung Galaxy A37 so far.
We’ve covered all the bases, including when it might launch, how much it will cost and the design and specs. This is based on rumours, examination of previous generations and our expert analysis.

When will the Samsung Galaxy A37 be released?
In summary
- Coming in 2026
- All signs point towards another March release
- The phone will be made available in the US
At this point in time (December), Samsung has yet to officially unveil the Galaxy A37, but this isn’t surprising since it’s expected to be a 2026 launch for this mid-ranger.
For the last three generations of phones within the A30 range, they’ve all come to market in March after being unveiled only a short time before in the same month, so we can assume that the Galaxy A37 will drop in March 2026.
This fits nicely into Samsung’s overall release schedule as it offers a breather after the flagship Galaxy S range gets a refresh in January.
At one point, a slight delay may have been on the cards after rumours that the Galaxy S26 range would be delayed until March 2026, but these have since subsided, so there’s no reason to believe that the A37 will deviate from Samsung’s usual strategy.
One thing we do know is that the phone is also set for a US release, which hasn’t been a given with previous phones in the Galaxy A range.

How much will the Samsung Galaxy A37 cost?
In summary
- A price increase is unlikely, but can’t be ruled out
- The price shouldn’t be any lower than £399/$399
As the ongoing cost-of-living crisis continues to hit markets worldwide, it’s difficult to say without absolute certainty whether or not the price for the Galaxy A37 will stay the same as its predecessor.
If this does turn out to be the case, then the Galaxy A37 will have a starting price of £399/$399, continuing to make it a more affordable alternative to the best mid-range phones such as the Google Pixel 9a (and upcoming Pixel 10a) and Xiaomi.
However, unlike most of Samsung’s wares, the price for the phones within the A30 range has rarely sat still, to the point where it’s fairly unpredictable from one year to the next. It is worth mentioning though that the Galaxy A36 did see a massive price jump over its predecessor, going from £339 to £399, so it’s unlikely that Samsung will instigate another quite so soon.

Plus, at £399 the Galaxy A36 is already at the cusp of affordability within the mid-range sector. If the A37 goes beyond that then it might not seem like such a stretch to plump for phones with a £499 price tag like the Pixel 9a, not to mention the fact that we’ve seen more expensive phones like the Galaxy S25 FE drop to £499 during sales events.
To better understand the history of the Galaxy A30 series in this context, here are the previous prices:
- Samsung Galaxy A36 – £399/$399.99
- Samsung Galaxy A35 – £339/$399.99
- Samsung Galaxy A34 – £349
- Samsung Galaxy A33 – £329
- Samsung Galaxy A32 – £249/$279.99
What specs and features will the Samsung Galaxy A37 have?
In summary
- The A37 is set to use the faster Exynos 1480 chipset
- It’s the same chipset found in the Samsung Galaxy A55
- Hopeful for an improved design
A more powerful mid-range processor
Unlike a lot of other Samsung phones which typically see their entire feature-set leak ahead of release, there’s very little known about the Galaxy A37 at present. The only major bit of information we have to go on revolves around the phone’s chipset.
After making an appearance on Geekbench’s servers, it now appears as if the Galaxy A37 will be powered by the Exynos 1480 CPU, the same one previously found in the Samsung Galaxy A55.
Based on our experience with the A55, this upgrade should pave the way for smoother performance compared to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 found in its predecessor. Given that one of the biggest issues we had with the A36 was its performance, this will be a welcome upgrade that should allow the A37 to stand out a bit more in its category.

What we’d like to see: a more robust build
While we don’t yet know of any other upgrades that Samsung is looking to bequeath upon the Galaxy A37, from our perspective there’s one aspect that absolutely needs changing to give the phone a fighting chance, and that’s its build quality.
With an all-plastic backing, the A36 feels nowhere near as robust as the Galaxy A56, which utilises a metal frame and, as a result, feels more premium compared to most other mid-range phones around the same price.
Given that phones like the Honor 400 and the OnePlus Nord 5 have overtaken Samsung when it comes to features like the onboard cameras and charging speeds, the brand needs to reclaim its identity here by having a stronger build than its competitors, and some more eye-catching colour variations wouldn’t go amiss either.
If the Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy Tab A11 are anything to go by, Samsung may well keep things very similar to the A36.
That’s all we have to report on the Samsung Galaxy A37, but make sure to return to this page to stay up to date with the latest rumours as they appear.
