We’re fast approaching the launch of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and we now have a full look at the design and colourways.
It appears that the high-end camera phone will come in two starkly different colour options, which almost make it look like two different phones.
The first leak, via a China Telecom listing that now seems to have been pulled, shows the phone in Canyon Orange. It’s by no means the first orange phone since the iPhone 17 Pro popularised the bright hue.

There’s also a Tundra Umber option (via Yogesh Brar), which appears sleek and understated. These two options may well be the globally available models. China could possibly get up to four options, with Polar Glacier and Rongsha Valley also tipped.
While both Canyon Orange and Tundra Umber look good in different ways, I’m not sure I’ve seen two colourways more different to each other. Perhaps Oppo is trying to appeal to two very different markets with the same phone, with Canyon Orange striking a chord with the younger Gen Z crowd.
Meanwhile, a millennial like me is more likely to pick the classic camera look of the Tundra Umber.
Not only do they look very different, but they’re made from different materials. The black model looks to have a vegan leather back, a nod to classic camera design, while the orange may have a back that’s similar to the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s composite fibreglass rear.
The phone is shaping up nicely ahead of its official launch in China on 21 April, with some key specs already confirmed, such as dual 200Mp Hasselblad cameras on the rear, one of which offers 10x optical zoom via a built-in teleconverter.
Other specs are tipped – I’ll list the key ones below for ease. We’ll be at the Oppo launch in a couple of weeks, where the X9 Ultra is expected to be joined by the Find X9s Pro.
