Google is selling its latest Pixel Watch smartwatch at a bargain low price ahead of Christmas.
At £279, we’d concede that the Google Pixel Watch 4 would make for somewhat pricey stocking filler. However, when you consider the fact that this is a £70 saving on its £349 launch price – a launch that only occurred two months ago – it certainly enters into the conversation as a potential gift for the active Android owner in your life.
This is the price for the smaller 41mm model, but the same saving is applied to the larger 45mm variant. You’ll be paying £329 rather than £399.
Why we love the Pixel Watch 4
Whichever model you opt for, this a great price for an excellent smartwatch.
Our very own Managing Editor, Chris Martin, handed out a rave 4.5-star review for the Pixel Watch 4 at launch. “For my money, the Pixel Watch 4 is the best Wear OS watch out there,” he concluded.
Chris drew attention to some key improvements to Google’s smartwatch, included a more repairable (and highly desirable) design and a handy new Quick Charge Dock.
You also get a bright (3000 nits) AMOLED display, solid performance, and a raft of health and fitness functions – especially if you sign up to Fitbit Premium.

Pixel Watch improvements
Indeed, now is the perfect time to get onboard with Google’s smartwatch vision.
Just last week, the company announced a bunch of new features for its extended Pixel Watch family – all of which are free to access.
These include new AI-powered one-handed gestures that let you interact with your watch without ever having to touch the screen. You can now bind various actions to a double pinch or wrist turn motion.
Google is also now using its on-device language model to generate smart replies to messages when you aren’t tethered to your phone. These replies are now much faster and more efficient.
As good as the Google Pixel Watch 4 is now, you can be assured that it’ll be even better in a couple of years.
