I love this vacuum cleaner. After I tested it, I gave it to my brother. Now he loves it – and my nephews play with it more than the family cat.
If you want a high-quality cordless vacuum that doesn’t cost a grand, the Halo Capsule X is it. It’s hugely powerful, light in the hand and easy to use. It’s also cleverly and simply designed, so that there’s very little that can go wrong with it.
But as it’s modular, you can easily buy replacement parts if a bit gets lost or trodden on, from the Capsule Clean website. This means it’s a vacuum you can keep for a very long time, which is nice for your wallet and for the environment.
It’s independently designed and built and I personally think that it’s the best value vacuum cleaner you can buy in the UK right now. And over Prime Day, you can buy it for much less, direct from the people who made it.

The Capsule X retains the innovative features of the original, including its carbon-fibre shell, its compostable cardboard dust bags and huge dustbin, but adds some new features such as swappable batteries, HEPA filtration and new cleaning attachments. Its bin is even larger, at 2 litres.
As it’s a bagged vacuum cleaners, it’s a very good option for people with a sensitivity to dust, asthma, or hay fever. But the bags – or dust pouches as Capsule calls them – are made from cardboard, so they’re biodegradable.
Halo Capsule deal
The original model, the Halo Capsule, is now on offer in a rose gold colourway for just £189, down from £467.95.

We tested the original Halo Capsule at the start of 2020 and gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars in our review. We were particularly impressed by its innovative design and build. Its carbon-fibre shell means that it’s extremely lightweight at 2.6kg, and the simplicity of its internal design means that clogs are unlikely.
The Capsule is a bagged vacuum cleaner, which means no more poking around in your vacuum’s dustbin with a chopstick, trying to remove a ball of wedged pet fur. Its dustbin bags have a 1.6-litre capacity and, unlike almost all other vacuum cleaner bags, they’re biodegradable and compostable at home.
The Capsule has a motorised brush head with LED headlights, and comes with a combined upholstery and brush head, a crevice tool, wall dock, charger and six dust pouches.
