At long last, it’s official. The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra flagship phones are getting a global launch at MWC, but that means we know which models aren’t going global.
Xiaomi has decided to match its strategy from last year so we, I’m particularly talking about the UK, get two flagship phone models to choose from. They’re both excellent options but the choice could have been wider.
It’s perhaps no surprise, but the Xiaomi 15 Pro is not arriving in the UK. It’s likely Xiaomi thinks shipping two models here is enough and doesn’t want to over commit.
Still, we’re champions of consumer choice so if we had our way the Pro would be on the menu too. This three-model lineup would better rival the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 range and others like Google’s Pixel 9 series.

Moving on, and we also don’t get certain models/editions of the regular Xiaomi 15.
Again, it’s no surprise but I would have loved to see the Xiaomi 15 Custom Edition 9 (above) make an appearance. This edition provides a plethora of rear cover colours and different frame colours too.
With a total of 20 different combinations, it’s not too far off the old Moto Maker from Motorola which I sorely miss.
Last but not least is the Xiaomi 15 Diamond Edition (below). This somewhat batshit option has an actual diamond embedded in the frame and a crocodile-skin textured Corna leather rear cover in three colours.
As I wrote at the time it was announced, it’s one of the maddest phones I’ve ever seen.
