Ghostface, the masked killer and scary movie expert, is returning in a new film.
Scream 7, directed by Kevin Williamson, focuses on Sidney Prescott-Evans (Neve Campbell), the film series protagonist. But this time around, it’s her daughter Tatum (Isabel May) who is targeted.
To protect her child, Sidney must discover who’s hiding behind the mask. As usual, she has the help of feisty journalist Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox).
So far, the seventh instalment of Scream hasn’t received positive reviews and audiences seem far from enthusiastic. But the best way to find out how the new slasher fares, and who’s wielding the knife this time around, is to watch film in the cinema. However, if you want to know when the film will hit home media, read on.
How to watch Scream 7 now
The latest instalment of the Scream franchise is currently available exclusively in cinemas.
If you want to reserve seats in the US, go to the AMC Theatres, Fandango or Atom Tickets websites.
In the UK, tickets are available on Vue, Showcase, Odeon or Cineworld.

When could Scream 7 be released on VOD?
Paramount Pictures, which distributes the new Scream movie, hasn’t revealed any dates for its digital premiere. A lot will depend on how well the slasher does at the box office.
Most successful Paramount films, such as Gladiator 2 or Smile 2, have appeared on digital platforms 32 days after their theatrical debut.
However, some Paramount films became available for rental or purchase later. For example, the relatively successful The Naked Gun hit VOD 60 days after its cinema debut. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which flopped given its budget, dropped on digital a long 88 days after its premiere.
We estimate that Scream 7 will be available on digital in the US around Tuesday, 31 March 2026. However, remember that this is only a guess based on previous release schedules, and the film may be available on VOD as late as 2 or 3 months after its cinema release.
The film’s VOD release date in the UK may differ – previous releases have often been a little later than in America. We’ll let you know as soon as we have more information.
When could Scream 7 be released on streaming services?
Most Paramount films arrive on streaming after releasing on digital. It usually happens quickly – Gladiator 2 appeared on the platform just 28 days after its VOD premiere, while Smile 2 took just 14 days.
If our prediction above is correct, Scream 7 may air on Paramount+ between Tuesday, 14 April 2026 and Tuesday 28 April 2026.
However, keep in mind that these are our predictions, and Paramount hasn’t yet provided any information on the subject. If the VOD release is delayed, we may not see Scream 7 hit platforms until late spring/early summer 2026.
When will Scream 7 be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
Physical copies of the film are likely to appear last. However, it’s hard to say when this might happen, as it varies, depending on the individual Paramount film. Gladiator 2 came out on DVD and Blu-ray 42 days after its streaming premiere, while Smile 2 and The Running Man took 49 days.
Therefore, copies of Scream 7 may hit stores in late May/early June 2026. However, it’s also possible that the release will be pushed back to summer 2026.
