Details concerning the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s European launch have leaked online, including the crucial matters of pricing and battery size.
Leaker MysteryLupin has taken to X to reveal some key details about the global launch of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which is expected to occur alongside the rest of the Xiaomi 17 series within a month.
According to the tipster, the new ultra-flagship smartphone model will arrive in Europe with a starting price of €1,499, with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
While they label this “expensive” – and it certainly isn’t cheap – this actually represents good news. It’s exactly the same price as the equivalent model of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra when it launched in early 2025.
Given that Xiaomi President Lu Weibing has spoken about the likelihood of price rises within the smartphone market in 2026, such stasis could be viewed as a positive.
Further to this pricing information, the tipster also supplied information on the European model’s battery size. It seems we’ll be getting a 6,000mAh cell as opposed to the Chinese original’s 6,800mAh unit.
That’s a bigger difference than before, but it’s still a big capacity increase over its predecessor. The global model of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra came with a 5,410mAh battery, compared to the 6,000mAh Chinese model.
We also learn that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will ship in white, black and green here in Europe. This would seem to suggest that the purple model will remain China-only.
Whether you feel that the design itself is a step forward or not remains a matter of opinion.
