Amazon Fire TV is getting a springtime glow-up.
At CES 2026, Amazon announced a series of new products for its device users, which will be arriving in the near future. In addition to the upgraded Fire TV app and the Amazon Ember Artline lifestyle TV, the new Fire TV Stick HD will be available for purchase very soon.
The latest, smaller version of the device is faster and more portable. As Amazon boasts, it’s “optimised for direct power via the TV’s USB port, so it fits more neatly behind a TV without requiring a separate power adapter”.
The smaller size doesn’t mean a drop in speed – on the contrary, the new Fire TV Stick HD is 30% faster than previous models, which translates into smoother app opening and closing. To further boost the browsing experience, the Fire TV Stick HD offers a refreshed Fire TV user interface and Alexa+ voice assistant.
In the upcoming months, Amazon plans to add the Adaptive Display feature to the refreshed Stick. This setting lets customers personalise their viewing experience by adjusting the size of smaller items, such as text and menus, while scaling up larger items, such as artwork.
The device, priced at £39.99 is now available for pre-order – shipping of the Fire TV Stick HD begins on 29 April 2026.
