Although the fourth series of The Traitors UK is long behind us, fans will have the chance to relive the excitement. As part of this year’s Comic Relief: Funny for Money show, the BBC will broadcast a sketch parodying everyone’s favourite backstabbing show, The Traitors: The Movie – The Sequel.
There was a similar production in 2024. The follow-up will air tonight. Ruby Wax appears as the director of The Traitors movie, but Ed Bye will be helming the sketch. The incomparable Claudia Winkleman is portrayed by Anna Friel. The actress said:
Lots and lots of warm clothes for me today, I’ve had roll necks and coats and boots and fingerless gloves! Seeing Alison Steadman [OBE] again was absolutely lovely, she played my mother in a drama we did together. Jessica Hynes is so funny and brilliant, and I watched The Traitors so seeing the series four cast was really gorgeous and they were all wonderful and warm – it’s been a really light and happy set.
The cast also includes:
- Vicky Pattison as Rachel
- Scott Mills as James
- Iain Stirling as Stephen
- Amanda Redman as Amanda
- Alison Steadman as Fiona
- Fleur East as Roxy
- Lewis Cope as Jack,
- Jessica Hynes as Harriet
The sketch also features Rachel Duffy, Stephen Libby, Faraaz Noor, Fiona Hughes, Ross Garshong, Jade Scott, and Judy Wilson.
This year’s Comic Relief: Funny for Money will be broadcast live from MediaCityUK in Salford on BBC iPlayer and BBC One on Friday 20 March from 7pm GMT.
What’s the sketch about? According to the BBC, it will revisit the most important and exciting moments from the show’s fourth series.
