Samsung’s new full-sized foldable concept, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, has had its design leaked, giving us an idea of how the iPhone Ultra/Fold might shape up.
Following on from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (pictured above) and the limited-edition Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, the South Korean giant is expected to introduce a third full-sized foldable towards the end of 2026.
Now the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide has had its design revealed, with Android Headlines publishing a batch of CAD renders. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide is said to measure 123.9 x 161.4 x 4.9mm when open, and 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8mm when closed.
True to these stated dimensions (and the phone’s non-finalised name), the images seem to show a Fold 7-like device that’s been stretched out a little, thus offering an internal display with a more natural landscape aspect ratio.

Given that Apple’s eagerly anticipated first foldable is reportedly due to debut soon after with a similar form factor, this leak also serves as glimpse at what that phone might look like.
Swap out the Samsung Galaxy S26-like camera module design for that of the iPhone Air (but with an extra camera, potentially), and you’re probably close to the iPhone Fold’s final form.
Of course, we may already have seen some early glimpses of the iPhone Fold itself, with images of a dummy model surfacing based on alleged CAD renders from Apple’s production line.
Other than a dual camera (rather than a triple), a 5.4-inch cover display, and a 7.6-inch internal screen, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide should be specified much like its Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 brother.
According to rumours, this would include a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a larger 5000mAh battery, and bolstered 45W wired charging.
