Google’s next-gen foldable, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, is just months away, and a glimpse of the official wallpaper has given us a hint as to the potential colour options.
The new Android 17 QPR1 Beta has revealed a pair of wallpapers listed in relation to the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, discovered by 9to5Google.
Both wallpapers showcase an aerial view of a delta – those glorious bits where the river meets the sea. As the report points out, previous Fold models have only come in two colours, while their default wallpapers have traditionally tracked closely with said external colours.
One of these wallpapers – called Lunar Tides – is mostly monochrome, which speaks to Google’s habit of providing white(ish) and black(ish) options with its premium smartphones.
The other is called Tidal Swirl, and features a series of aquatic green shades.

What does this mean for the Pixel 11 range?
What’s interesting is that the Lunar Tides wallpaper is attached to an internal codename of Midnight, while the Tidal Swirl wallpaper is associated with the name Pine.
It’s that latter one that interests us most, in case you hadn’t realised. This could be confirmation that the signature colour for the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold – and indeed for the Pixel 11 Pro – could be a nice leafy green colour.
If we were to hazard a guess, this Pine colour would probably be a deeper version of the Jade colour of the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold and other 10 Pro models (below).

We’re expecting the Google Pixel 11 series to launch sometime in August. Initial leaks and rumours point to minimal external changes from the Google Pixel 10 series, but a potentially upgraded display and upgraded facial recognition hardware, as well as Pixel Glow lights on the back.
