Best Prices Today: Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro
The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro is the latest update to Huawei’s Fit smartwatch line, which first introduced a Pro version to the series with the Watch Fit 4 Pro in 2025.
The biggest gains of going Pro over the standard Fit 5 lie with a design that’s built for rugged use, more advanced health features and a bump up in sports tracking support.
I praised the Watch Fit 4 Pro for its performance and design, despite the fact that it looks a lot like an Apple Watch. While the Fit 5 Pro won’t dodge those Apple comparisons, it does have some updates that help it stand out from the smartwatch crowd – and for the right reasons.
Design & Build
- Available in three colours
- Option of fluoroelastomer or woven nylon strap
- Suitable for recreational diving
The Fit 5 Pro comes in three colour options – orange, white and black – two fewer than the five available for the Fit 5. I had the orange model to test, which also comes with a woven nylon strap instead of the more standard fluoro rubber one. It’s a pleasingly soft nylon that’s removable if you prefer to swap in the fluoro rubber strap instead.

It comes in just a single 44mm case size, which is larger than the case on the Fit 5 (42mm) and roughly the same size as the one on the Fit 4 Pro.
For context, that’s smaller than the largest available Apple Watch Series 11 (46mm). It still feels Apple-esque in look, using aluminium and titanium up front and polymer plastic for the back of the case. It’s a pretty attractive smartwatch altogether, and also doesn’t feel hulking to wear.

Mike Sawh
On one side of the case, you’ll find the same two buttons as featured on the Fit 4 Pro. The top crown one can wake up the screen or push you into the main app screen. Twisting it lets you scroll through features including notifications and the downloadable offline maps.
The watch is waterproof up to 50 metres depth and is also suitable for free diving up to 40 metres deep. That gives it similar diving credentials to the Apple Watch Ultra and smartwatches such as the Amazfit T-Rex 3.
Screen & Audio
- Includes a larger display than Fit 4 Pro
- Speaker included for Bluetooth calls and music playback
Huawei has decided to give the new Pro a larger screen. It’s gone from a 1.82-inch AMOLED to a 1.92-inch AMOLED display. It sticks to the same 480 x 408 resolution and now manages to make the screen fill the case even more, with a sliver of black bezel surrounding it.

Mike Sawh
It’s a lovely screen that’s vibrant and offers accurate colours. It’s also nicely responsive to swipes and taps, with strong viewing angles in brighter outdoor conditions. In terms of brightness, it matches the Fit 4 Pro’s maximum 3,000 nits brightness setting. That means it gets brighter than the Apple Watch Series 11.

While you’ll need to buy a more expensive Huawei Watch to get added LTE connectivity, the Fit 5 Pro still includes a microphone and speaker. That does mean you can handle calls over Bluetooth, use the included voice recorder feature and even listen to music and audio out loud. I took a few calls, blasted out some music and recorded some notes with it and thought the Fit 5 Pro offered good volume and clarity to make including and using those features worthwhile.
Software & Features
- Works with Android and iOS
- Offers NFC payments via Curve Pay
- Interactive watch faces
I used the Watch Fit 5 Pro primarily with an iPhone, which doesn’t give you access to everything that the Fit 5 Pro has to offer as a smartwatch. I could do things such as read notifications, check weather and calendar appointments and control music playback. You can load audio onto the watch as well. You do also get access to the newly-added NFC payments, powered by Curve Pay. That means you also need to download the Curve Pay smartphone app and the watch app from the AppGallery to get things set up.

Mike Sawh
Pair it with an Android phone and you’ll then get the full complement of features on offer. You’ll be able to respond to notifications and have full access to the Huawei AppGallery store. This is definitely something to keep in mind if you’re sizing the Fit 5 Pro up for your wrist.
I do think the watch faces deserve a mention – they’re great. There’s a standard array of digital and analogue options, alongside some interactive ones. That includes a fluffy companion one you can tap on to make it wave or fly away. It also reacts to scenarios like charging the watch or playing music.

Mike Sawh
As far as tying all of the available features together, Huawei does a much better job of things on the watch than off it. The user interface is easy to navigate, the widgets are well-optimised for the screen, with everything just a swipe or tap away.
One downside is having to actively consent to set up pretty much all individual features geared towards tracking your health and fitness. When you need to adjust settings further or grab more watch faces, it’s time to head to the Huawei Health app, which remains a pretty busy and congested place to get around.
Fitness & Tracking
- New mini-workouts added
- Added cycling features from Watch GT 6
- Golf driving range and course modes
The Watch Fit 5 Pro essentially aims to cram in more health and fitness features than the last Pro. There’s something for everyone here. If you’re big into cycling or golf, you have a watch that can track those sports modes and many more in a detailed way. If you want a smartwatch that can monitor health with a clinical-grade level of accuracy, it can do that as well. Huawei has bolstered what the Fit can do on all those fronts, but it’s actually one of the simpler features that caught my eye.

Mike Sawh
The new mini-workouts feature is designed to help you fit in some workout time, even if you’ve only got a few minutes to spare. So, this includes following simple exercises to work on your neck or shoulder mobility. What’s great about this feature is that it’s tied into a dedicated watch face where a little panda animation provides the prompts for the exercises.
That panda also reacts when you’ve not been active for a period of time or you’ve completed another mini-workout. It’s a nice reminder that it’s not all about being able to track workouts and serving up rich, advanced metrics. Sometimes prompting the simplest of movements can be just as important.

If you do want to use it as a sports watch, Huawei’s improving sports tracking capabilities are present here. You’ve got a watch with the latest dual-band GPS support, free offline maps, the ability to track your fatigue and recovery trends and do it in a way that makes using them worthwhile. I tried the Fit 5 Pro against another dual-band GPS watch and it posted similar GPS tracks with some discrepancies for data, such as pacing and average pace. I also used it for swims, which now adds richer training analytics. The core tracking against two other swim trackers held up for metrics including lap counts and distance covered.

Golfers, cyclists and racket sports fans are actually the biggest beneficiaries of the enhanced tracking on the Fit 5 Pro. For cyclists, there’s support for fall detection and advanced metrics such as virtual cycling power, without needing an additional accessory to capture it. Golfers have access to thousands of golf courses across the world, and the watch can now register motion like forehand and backhand strokes in tennis or pickleball.

Mike Sawh
Away from exercise, the Fit 5 Pro offers plenty in the way of tracking your stress and general emotional wellbeing, as well as health metrics including heart rate and temperature. Using the Health Insights feature helps to pull some of those health metrics together in one place to show trends in your general health data. You’ve also got serious health modes such as the ability to check for arterial stiffness and look for signs of arrhythmia, which do have the necessary regulatory clearance to check and analyse those conditions.
I think Huawei’s approach to tracking stress is nicely done and crucially, accuracy for data like optical and ECG-based heart rate tracking and sleep monitoring are particular highlights. Basically, this is a very capable smartwatch.
Battery Life & Charging
- Up to 10 days battery life
- Up to 7 days with heavier use
- Up to 4 days with Always-on display mode
The Fit 5 Pro features a 471mAh capacity battery, so that’s larger than the one inside the Watch Fit 4 Pro. Huawei has moved to using a high silicon battery like its more expensive watches, to boost battery performance.

Mike Sawh
Those battery numbers break down to four days with the screen on at all times, seven days with what Huawei deems typical use and 10 days with lighter use. The type of features that will drain the battery more quickly, apart from the always-on display mode, include using the GPS, using all available continuous health monitoring features and keeping the screen very bright as well.
Typically, I found the battery drop on a single day to be less than 10%. As soon as I switched to the always-on display mode, the battery percentage started to drop notably within an hour of enabling it. I don’t think the battery has massively improved from the Fit 4 Pro, but I also think it offers a more than satisfactory performance and you won’t need to be thinking about it too much.

Charging is done in the same way as the last Pro. You’ve got a circular charging cradle that can charge the watch from flat to 100% in an hour. That’s down to the use of Huawei’s second generation SuperCharger to make sure you’re not hanging around too long to start putting it to good use again.
Price & Availability
The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro was officially announced and made available on 7 May 2026, with a launch price of £249. It’s available from Amazon and Huawei itself. If you buy from Huawei, you can get £30 off and a free smart scale.
Like previous Watch Fits, no details have been shared of a US launch given the current standoff between the US and Huawei.
If we compare UK pricing to the launch price of the Watch Fit 4, the difference is the same. That means it’s £100 more expensive than the regular Watch Fit 5. See how it compares to our top recommendations in our round-up of the best smartwatches we’ve tested.
Should you buy the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro?
If you already have the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro, your biggest reasons to upgrade would be the larger screen, the fun watch faces and mini-workout modes. Beyond that, it feels like you’re getting a lot of the same features. There’s also the question over whether some of those software features will drop down to the Fit 4 Pro as well. Huawei does have a habit of doing that.
I really liked using and living with the Watch Fit 5 Pro and I think many people who like the idea of getting features from pricier smartwatches for less will enjoy it. It’s disappointing that iPhone owners miss out on some of the richer smartwatch features. There’s still enough to the Watch Fit 5 Pro when you’re not using it for exercise or health tracking to make it a great buy at a very good price.
