Despite opening towards the end of 2024, Moana 2 was the third biggest film of 2024. It broke the $1 billion mark at the box office, the second Disney sequel to do so last year.
Moana, now an experienced sailor, receives a vision from her ancestor Tautai Vasa. According to him, the evil god Nalo, desiring power over mortals, has sunk the island of Motufetu, linking all islands and securing the connection of humans to the ocean. Moana is the only person who can pull Motufetu to the surface and restore the old order.
Moana can count on help from the shapeshifting demi-god Maui, her pet pig and rooster, as well as Maui fanboy Moni, craftswoman Loto, and grumpy elderly farmer Keke. The whole group embarks on an adventure inspired by Polynesian mythology.

When could Moana 2 be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
In the UK, physical copies of the second Moana movie will arrive on 17 March 2025. You can pre-order them now on Amazon.
In the States, Moana 2 will appear on DVD and Blu-ray a day later, on 18 March 2025. Copies are available for pre-order on Amazon US.
The wait time for copies is considerably longer than expected, as Disney usually launches its films on DVD and Blu-ray about three weeks after the VOD release.
