The Galaxy S26 leaks are coming thick and fast, as the Galaxy Unpacked event where the new models will launch is just weeks away.
The latest is from Evan Blass, AKA evleaks, and shows a high-quality 3D rotating video of the Galaxy S26 Ultra model – like the videos used by many online tech stores.
It’s one of the clearest looks at the phone’s new design we’ve seen so far and shows the Ultra in the new hero colour rumoured to be called Cobalt Violet.
The Galaxy S26 series is also tipped to come in Sky Blue, White and Black, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the official Samsung store has additional exclusive colours once again. The S25 Ultra in Jadegreen and Pinkgold, for example, can only be purchased there.
There’s not much to learn from the video that we didn’t already know. Samsung is once again making small tweaks to the styling, with the new camera module being the standout for this year.
Each camera still appears to have a floating ring style, just like the last four generations, but the main three are now housed together, a little similar to the Galaxy A56.
Other elements are really a matter of splitting hairs, such as whether the bezel around the screen is smaller than the Galaxy S25 Ultra or not. If it is, it can’t be by much.
The S26 Ultra’s expected upgrades
Samsung has clearly learned from the S24 Ultra’s sharp design making holes in pockets, as the S26 Ultra seems to have more rounded, softer corners than its predecessor, which already addresses the pocketgate issue.
One major thing we can’t see in the video is the S26 Ultra’s biggest upgrade, the privacy screen, which will help you keep what’s on your phone from prying eyes. This is even set to work for just certain parts of the screen, such as notifications, rather than the user having to choose an all-or-nothing approach.
Privacy Display will be exclusive to the Ultra. Upgrades elsewhere are expected to be minimal with the other big one – Qi2 magnetic charging – seemingly cancelled.
It’s also clear that this is very much the S26 model Samsung wants you to buy. It seems to be the only one not getting a price rise and Samsung is reportedly making 3.6 million units of this model, compared to just 700,000 for the regular S26 and 600,000 for the S26+.
Only time will tell whether this strategy pays off, but there’s not too long to wait to see the Galaxy S26 range in its official glory (or not) as Unpacked is rumoured for 25 February.
