Samsung has finally announced the first batch of phones and tablets that’ll receive the One UI 8.5 update, and it’s happening now.
The company’s latest Android-based UI made its debut with the Samsung Galaxy S26 launch and, more recently, found its way onto the Samsung Galaxy A57.
However, One UI 8.5’s wider availability on Samsung devices has been frustratingly slow in coming about. We’ve had beta versions coming to older phones and tablets, but the final form appears to have been delayed.
Now Samsung’s website has confirmed that the One UI 8.5 update is rolling out to the following devices:
- Samsung Galaxy S25 series
- Samsung Galaxy S25 FE
- Samsung Galaxy S24 series
- Samsung Galaxy S24 FE
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series
The One UI 8.5 rollout commenced on 6 May – that was yesterday – in South Korea, with additional regions set to follow.
One UI 8.5, based on Android 16, adds features such as intuitive AI photo edits, call screening, AI suggestions (aka Now Nudge), a more personalised Now Brief, a smarter Bixby assistant, a more customisable Quick Panel, an upgraded Weather widget, AirDrop support, the ability to wirelessly browse files stored on other Samsung devices through Storage Share, and more.
If you own one of the above devices, head to Settings > Software update and tap Check for updates to see if your One UI 8.5 is ready to download.
